The Metro
Sept. 1, 2000
w/ Plastic Princess, Caviar, and Pound of Flesh
I went with Byron & Tim again. We went directly from school to the
train station. We caught the 3:20 and took a 151 bus to the Tribune where we
met up with my Dad, who drove us to the Metro. If anyone was following us, we
definetly lost them. The 3 opening bands were Plastic Princess (awesome
music), Caviar (great!!) and Pound of Flesh (oh god no, someone shoot me
please). During the performance of said bad-band, people started moshing and
slamdancing violently. I swear I have some sort of a physical phobia to
moshing because I kept feeling like I was going to pass out. So I hauled ass
out and sat in the lobby, waiting to return to normal (homeostasis. I paid
attention in Health). Security broke it up, but seeing as it was Metro
security, you can guess that it only lasted for 5 or 6 minutes. So, we went
up on the balcony and had a fairly good view, though not nearly as good as
our other spots (obviously). Better than being smashed. So finally, KH went
on, and they were great (no big surprise there..). They were taping the show
for the production of the "I Wanna Be a Kennedy" video. I think that's an
awesome choice for a single...that's one of my favorite songs by them and
everyone else seems to agree. I remember "Sick Boy", "Crybaby", "New Heart
for Christmas", but as stated before, I have a terrible memory & can't
remember anything else.
[Kelly's note: the Kill Hannah crew is very abusive. If you don't like
being knocked around by glamboys, STAY AWAY!]
